Arcolitico

This unique parabolic stone sculpture was designed by Arch. Raffaello Galiotto and realized by Margraf S.p.a. using Robot Space by Pellegrini.

The arch can be noticed from the highway that connects Milan and Venice. It has a base of 12 mt and reaches a height of 14 mt. It is composed of 34 rings of marble placed one on top of the other.
Robot Space’s numerical control made it possible to precisely cut and separate the blocks, that have been assembled together to create the previously chosen architectural form.

This project combines technological evolution with art, creating the effect of a delicate drapery.
